Built for the University of Sharjah's CASTO office, this two-part system digitizes the entire career fair process. The management dashboard gives CASTO admins full control over applicants, companies, and analytics — with 12+ filter categories, deduplication logic that resolves multiple submissions per student by University ID, and a six-tab advanced analytics suite covering demographics, education, skills, and recruitment metrics. Company representatives get a separate role to scan QR codes, review candidate profiles, and shortlist or reject applicants in real time. The companion applicant portal handles student submissions with CV upload to Cloudinary and automated confirmation emails via Nodemailer. The system was actively used during a real career fair event.
The old career fair ran entirely on paper — students filled out the same form by hand at every booth, company reps flipped through stacks of printed CVs to compare candidates, and CASTO staff spent days after the event manually re-typing submissions just to see who had applied. There was no single interface guiding anyone through the process, just clipboards, queues, and duplicate paperwork.
Every paper touchpoint became a focused digital interaction: students fill out one validated online form instead of one per company, company reps browse a live, filterable candidate dashboard and shortlist with a single QR scan instead of a clipboard, and CASTO admins get one screen for search, deduplication, and six-tab analytics that used to take days to compile by hand. The fair went from paper-and-queue to a smooth, guided, on-screen flow for every role involved.
